My first illness was the following horrible. I went all spotty and didn't feel very well for about a week. I was sent home by the ladies at Dee Why Center and told that another baby Oscar had been sick with the same thing the previous week. Mummy and daddy thought I was very brave even though my cough was so bad I could hardly drink or sleep. | ||
Roseola is a mild viral infection that affects babies and young children. The raised, red skin rash and high temperature can last from a few hours to five days. Roseola is caused by one of the viruses in the herpes group, but this virus can't cause other herpes infections, such as cold sores. |
